FAQ's About CBD
CBD, short for cannabidiol, is one of around 140 naturally occurring compounds known as cannabinoids found in the hemp plant (Cannabis sativa). It’s the primary active ingredient in products like CBD oil, capsules, balms, and snacks.
No, CBD is non-intoxicating and non-addictive. Unlike THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the regulated cannabinoid responsible for the “high” effect, CBD does not produce any psychoactive effects.
CBD itself isn’t typically screened for in drug tests—most tests are looking for THC, the psychoactive compound in cannabis. However, the chances of detection are not zero. Trace amounts of THC can sometimes be present in full-spectrum or poorly made CBD products. That’s why it’s crucial to choose a high-quality, broad-spectrum CBD that’s third-party tested. At Naturecan, all our CBD products contain non-detectable levels of THC (below 0.01%) and are rigorously tested for purity—so while no product can guarantee zero risk, we do everything possible to keep it as low as possible.

While research into the therapeutic potential of CBD is still in its early stages, preliminary studies suggest it may help with a range of health issues, including inflammation, pain, anxiety, depression, skin conditions, and sleep disorders. CBD is a natural compound that affects everyone differently. If you’ve been using it for a while and haven’t noticed any effects, it could be due to several factors—like the type of product you’re using or your dosage. Here are three ways to increase your chances of experiencing the benefits of CBD:
1. Choose the Right Product for Your Needs: Different CBD products serve different purposes. For localized relief (e.g. sore muscles or irritated skin), try CBD creams or balms. For full-body benefits, CBD oils, capsules, or edibles may be more effective.
2. Adjust Your Dosage: you’ve been taking CBD for a few weeks with little to no effect, your dosage might be too low.Try gradually increasing your daily dose until you notice the desired effects.Important: Do not exceed 70mg of CBD per day. Need help? Use our CBD Oil Dosage Calculator to find your ideal starting point.
No, CBD is not addictive. THC is the intoxicating and addictive component of cannabis, but this has been removed from Natu
CBD is safe and generally well tolerated, and there have been no reports of serious side effects. In rare cases, however, people may experience mild side effects, including dry mouth, lightheadedness and lowered blood pressure. These side effects usually result from using low-quality products or exceeding the recommended daily dose.Find out more about the possible side effects of CBD in our blog article: What are the side effects of CBD?
There are two main ways to take CBD: orally and topically. Oral CBD products, such as oils, capsules and gummies, are absorbed into the bloodstream to have a systemic effect throughout the body. Topical CBD products, such as muscle balms, massage oils and moisturizers, are applied directly to the skin and keep the effects of CBD localized to problem areas. To take CBD oil, place the required number of drops under the tongue and wait one to two minutes before swallowing. This allows the CBD to enter the bloodstream directly through the capillaries under the tongue.
Learn more about the different ways to take CBD in our blog article: How to Take CBD Oil.
The answer to this question depends on several factors, including the physiology of the user and the product being used. CBD vape juice is the fastest way to absorb CBD into the body: when inhaled, it enters the bloodstream directly through the lungs and can begin to work within minutes. CBD oils also work quickly, as the CBD is absorbed into the bloodstream through the blood vessels under the tongue and takes effect within 15-30 minutes.
CBD capsules and snacks, on the other hand, must be digested before they enter the bloodstream, so it can take up to one or two hours for them to begin working. Topical CBD products, on the other hand, do not enter the bloodstream at all - they are absorbed directly into the skin and usually begin working within 30 minutes.
Like all dietary supplements, CBD eventually expires and the expiration date is listed on the product's label. While it is difficult to give an exact expiration date for CBD products, they are usually one to two years at their best, after which they begin to lose potency. Too much light, oxygen, heat and moisture can accelerate the breakdown of natural active ingredients, so CBD should be stored in a cool, dark and dry place, sealed in its original packaging.

The CBD industry is still in its infancy, and as a result there is far too little regulation. As a result, a large number of poor-quality products have entered the market, many of which have misleading claims on the label and no evidence of independent testing. If you want to buy CBD oil and other CBD products, here are some important things to look out for:
- A trusted, reputable vendor
- Evidence of independent testing (e.g., certificates of analysis)
- Plant-based CBD (no added synthetics)
- Non-detectable THC content
- CBD derived from legal, organic hemp (with <0.2% THC)
- First stage of approval of novel food license application
Naturecan meets all of the above requirements. Our CBD is a broad-spectrum plant distillate with undetectable THC (0.01%) sourced from certified organic hemp plants in Oregon, USA. All of our products are made using leading technology and are independently tested to ensure their quality and safety. We also offer certificates of analysis on all CBD product pages as proof of our rigorous testing protocols.
In March 2022, we were named the number one CBD brand by Leafreport. We were also one of only 78 UK brands, out of more than 800, to advance to the second stage of application for a Novel Foods License - further evidence of our commitment to quality, safety and transparency.
No, hemp oil and CBD oil are not the same thing. Although both come from the hemp plant, they have very different properties and uses. Hemp oil (also known as hemp seed oil) is extracted from hemp seeds, which contain little to no CBD or other cannabinoids, while CBD oil is extracted from the stems and leaves of the hemp plant, which are rich in CBD and contain low levels of minor cannabinoids. Hemp oil contains many fatty acids, vitamins and other nutrients, and is a common ingredient in nutritional, cosmetic and industrial products. CBD oil, on the other hand, is a dietary supplement with a wide range of potential health benefits.
CBD oil has a mild, earthy taste due to the various natural components present in the extract. Naturecan's CBD is combined with an MCT (Medium Chain Triglyceride) carrier oil derived from coconut to add the mild flavor and improve bioavailability. As you would expect, high-strength CBD oils have a stronger taste than low-strength oils because they contain higher concentrations of CBD and less important cannabinoids. CBD capsules are the only CBD product that can be ingested that has no taste at all.
At Naturecan, we believe the best CBD gummies should combine premium, hemp-derived CBD with great taste, accurate dosing, and full transparency. That’s why our CBD gummies are a customer favourite in Australia. They’re 100% vegan, THC-free, and made with broad-spectrum CBD to deliver a full range of natural plant benefits. Every batch is third-party tested for purity and safety—so you can enjoy them with total confidence.
Our CBD Melatonin Sleep Gummies are designed to help you unwind and get a better night’s rest—naturally. Each gummy combines broad-spectrum CBD with melatonin, a hormone that helps regulate your sleep-wake cycle. Together, they work to calm the mind, relax the body, and support a deeper, more restful sleep. They're THC-free, vegan-friendly, and third-party tested for quality and safety—so you can drift off with total peace of mind.
At Naturecan, our high-strength CBD gummies are designed for those who want serious support—with options ranging up to 25mg of broad-spectrum CBD per gummy. They’re ideal for experienced users or anyone needing a more potent dose, without compromising on taste or quality. For even higher-strength needs, we recommend our 60% CBD Oil or 100mg CBD Capsules—both THC-free and rigorously third-party tested to ensure maximum purity and effectiveness.
FAQ's About CBG
CBG (Cannabigerol) is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid found in hemp, often called the "mother of all cannabinoids" because other cannabinoids like CBD and THC originate from it. While CBD is known for promoting calm and balance, CBG is gaining attention for its potential to support focus, mood, and gut health. Both work with your body’s endocannabinoid system, but in slightly different ways.
Read more in our blogpost: CBD VS CBG
Early research suggests CBG oil may help with focus, mental clarity, digestive health, and overall balance in the body. It's also being studied for its potential anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties. While research is still ongoing, many people include CBG in their wellness routine to support daily performance and calm without drowsiness.
Yes! In fact, CBG and CBD work well together. Taking them together may enhance their effects through something called the "entourage effect"—where multiple cannabinoids work in harmony to support your wellbeing. Naturecan offers high-quality blends of CBD and CBG that are third-party tested and THC-free. To get the best of both worlds try our CBD/CBG Oil.
FAQ's about Longevity?
Longevity refers to a long life span, especially one that is healthy and active. It’s not just about living longer, but about maintaining quality of life as you age—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Longevity simply refers to living a long life—but it’s about more than just the number of years. In the world of wellness, longevity means living longer and staying healthy, active, and mentally sharp as you age. It’s about quality of life, not just lifespan. That’s why people focus on nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, and supplements that support cellular health—to help them not just live longer, but live better.
A longevity clinic is a medical or wellness center that focuses on helping people live longer, healthier lives. These clinics typically offer personalised health plans, advanced diagnostic testing, anti-aging treatments, and lifestyle coaching aimed at slowing biological aging and preventing age-related diseases. Some may also provide supplements, hormone therapy, IV drips, and cutting-edge therapies like NAD+ infusions or genetic analysis. The goal isn’t just to extend lifespan—but to improve your healthspan, so you feel your best at every age.
Popular longevity supplements include NMN, resveratrol, collagen, and CoQ10. These are often used to support cellular health, improve skin elasticity, and promote energy metabolism. However, individual needs vary, so it’s wise to consult a healthcare provider before starting any new supplement.

Collagen supports skin elasticity, joint function, and bone strength—all of which tend to decline with age. Taking collagen supplements may help reduce wrinkles, strengthen nails, and support mobility.
For more information read also our blogpost: Top 10 effects of Collagen
NMN and resveratrol work in different but complementary ways. NMN boosts NAD+ levels, which are vital for cell energy and repair. Resveratrol activates certain genes linked to aging. Some people take both together for enhanced effect, but current research is still ongoing. Read also our blogpost: Wha
Many users take NMN in the morning, often with food, to align with the body’s natural energy cycles. However, optimal timing may vary based on the supplement and your personal health goals.
Most over-the-counter longevity supplements are considered safe when used as directed. But some can interact with medications or medical conditions, so checking with a doctor is always a smart move.
Results vary by supplement and individual. Some users report feeling more energetic or noticing skin improvements in a few weeks, while other effects like cellular repair take longer and are less visible.
Supplements can support your body’s health and aging processes, but they’re not a substitute for a healthy lifestyle. Longevity comes from a combination of diet, exercise, sleep, stress management, and possibly supportive supplements.
Longevity spinach, also known as Gynura procumbens, is a nutrient-rich leafy green praised for its potential health benefits. Traditionally used in Southeast Asian medicine, it’s packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds that may support heart health, immune function, and healthy cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Its nickname comes from its long-standing reputation for promoting vitality and overall wellness—making it a rising star in the world of natural health.
When choosing an NMN supplement in Australia, it’s important to look for purity, transparency, and trust. Naturecan offers high-quality NMN supplements that are third-party tested, with detailed reports on the raw materials used—so you know exactly what you're getting. Backed by excellent customer reviews, Naturecan is a trusted choice for those looking to support energy, healthy aging, and cellular function.

Over Naturecan
We source our CBD from certified organic hemp in Oregon, USA. Our manufacturer, IAH Oregon, is an industry veteran with industry-leading facilities on the Pacific West Coast. Oregon's rich volcanic soil also provides optimal growing conditions for hemp plants.
Yes, we provide certificates of analysis for all our CBD products as proof of independent testing. You can find these on the respective product pages. For more information about our testing process, please visit our testing process page.
We extract our CBD from organic hemp for two main reasons. First, because no chemical fertilizers and pesticides are used in organic hemp farming, the plants are not at risk of contamination and we can maximize the purity and safety of our CBD. Second, it allows us to protect surrounding terrestrial and marine ecosystems from contamination, minimizing our impact on other organisms in the environment, including pollinators.

Our extraction process consists of three main stages:
1. Supercritical CO2 extraction.Once our hemp plants are tested and harvested, pressurized carbon dioxide is passed through the raw plant material to isolate desired compounds, including CBD and minor cannabinoids.
2. Chromatography We purify our oil using advanced chromatography technology developed by Rotachrom. This allows us to remove all traces of THC, heavy metals, microbiological and other contaminants and produce an oil that is pure and safe to consume.
3. Distillation Finally, the oil is further refined through distillation. This removes plant compounds such as lipids and waxes that can adversely affect the purity, taste and consistency of the final product. Once distilled, we combine our oil with an MCT carrier oil derived from coconut to improve bioavailability and provide a mild flavor.
The final product is a broad-spectrum distillate containing 90-95% CBD, at least 5% minor cannabinoids (such as CBG and CBC), and undetectable THC (0.01%).
